Rats are probably one of the most misunderstood pets around. The goal of this community is to provide owners of pet rats a place where than can share their love of rats with those who truly understand how wonderful these pets can be.
Losing rats is so hard. You develop a relationship with them over the years that you enjoy their presence. Even on bad days, you can always count on a loving furry friend to cheer you up. I lost so many rats due to many of them hitting 2 yrs and developing health problems. I lost Vita about two months ago. She suffered a stroke and was gone in a manner of hours despite having two vets working with her. It happened so fast... too fast. Believe it or not, Frida is still surviving quite well…

I'd imagine that at least a few rat owners was curious one night and search for odd information about rats and ran across the Indian temple that wiorships rats.
I discovered this back in early 2000.
The best article I can find that doesn't treat the temple as a freakish tourist attraction is in a 2004 National Geographic Channel. I do recommend reading the article if anyone is curious.…
